Warzone Update (v0.91) Released!
Head to the Downloads section to get the latest version. Just install it to the normal location.
Don't worry, only the updated files will be altered on install, leaving your existing stuff alone.
     New Stuff in v0.91:
     · Unit selection via keyboard scrapped and replaced with common 'RTS' mouse selection
     · Key-bindings given an overhaul to fit in with new mouse selection mechanics [See Gameplay Help for details]
     · Orders can now be issued to all team units, not just the first 9
     · Survivor Game Mode rules changed to make play more interesting
     · Z,X,C now toggle show FG, BG & BG Image when map editing
     · Sorry, still no fix for intermittent file I/O error in editor
Website Fix
Tripod has been giving me some issues with regards to page layout so I've redone the site code.
From now on, the pages should always appear consistent and neat. Yay!

Vista Issues
After checking out Warzone on Vista I've discovered a few compatibility problems...
Basically, Vista's "Compatibility Files" management system causes Warzone to lose connection with player preferences and possibly
other I/O data. I haven't looked into this too much yet and have gone back to XP to continue coding.
So, If you're a Vista user, expect some bizarre behaviour during your Warzone experience :(
In the meantime, I'll look into it...no doubt Vista will be THE OS in the coming months on most people's computers

Warzone Mercenaries
Warzone is primarily a platform for artists to display their work in a fun way while also functioning as a development
platform for full games. To this end, I've pretty much worked out all the details for the first full game based on the Warzone
engine, Warzone Mercenaries. Expect a game in the vein of Desert Strike/Commandos/Cannon Fodder but with the cool functionality
of Warzone. Should be really cool, but I need talented artists with the time to help pixel the game world!
So, if you're one of those, get in touch with me TODAY! [Click on Email button above for more info]

Lack of Progress!
It's taking me awhile to get the word out about Warzone so bear with me while the project kicks into gear.
I'm currently in the process of chasing up some artists over at DeviantArt.com so hopefully we can see some new GFX soon.
I'm also adding a few new Game Modes such as Domination and Hot Potato which will be fun when completed!
Oh, and I'm also changing the unit selection code so that it's all done with the mouse in a traditional RTS manner...

v0.9 Ready to Rock!
Warzone 2D v0.9 is ready for downloading!
Checkout some great 2D gaming today!

Warzone 2D v1.0 is pretty much complete - just working on the official Map Pack right now.
The only difference between the current v0.9 and v1.0 is the inclusion of the Map Pack, plus any minor
bug fixes I discover (or you tell me!) along the way.
If you want your pixel work included in the v1.0 Map Pack, you still have about 8 weeks to contact me.
So come on, show off your pixelling skills and show the world your work in a really cool way!
v1.0 will be released once I've gathered enough maps, or (damn it) made them myself!
